Ourimbah Public School provides educationally challenging opportunities that give every student the best possible preparation to achieve their potential.
Our school's bushland and rainforest setting provides a unique learning environment in which our students learn and grow academically, personally and socially. We believe in excellence, opportunity and success and this guides everything we do. Our motto is 'Endeavour to Excel' and we support students by providing a range of experiences to allow them to achieve their personal best.
We acknowledge and celebrate achievement whilst maintaining high expectations of effort and behaviour. The nine core values:
form the framework of school activities and guide our positive behaviour strategies including our 'Magpie Award' program. Our experienced teachers monitor the progress of students and address specific learning needs.
We provide engaging activities including:
Our school band, "The Bluegum Flats" and our two choirs offer great music opportunities. We work together with our Valley Schools' Learning Community to provide quality educational experiences for our students.

We would like to acknowledge the spiritual connection that the Darkinjung people have to this beautiful rainforest country, Mother Earth. This land where the birds sing, the trees dance and the memories of those past, walk as one. Respectfully, we appreciate the rich history, cultural significance and the legacy left to us now. Our inheritance of survival is determination, courage and strength to ensure this land remains safe and protected for generations to come. We would like to thank Elders past and present, who are the custodians of this place, for their knowledge and memories so that we may take them with us into the future.
