Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Our P&C is a group made up of parents, carers and school community members. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our P&C works in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community.

Joining the P&C is a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!

What is the P&C and how to get involved

The Parents & Citizens Association supports the educational needs of all students enrolled at Ourimbah Public School by bringing together parents, carers, citizens in the school community and staff.

We raise funds to contribute financially to the school. The Ourimbah P&C runs the uniform shop, holds fundraising events and activities and works alongside the school with grant submissions. The profit from these activities is donated to the school to assist with expenses that may include, but not be limited to student safety, wellness and education.

We have raised money for projects including literacy/numeracy resources, music, sport, and IT equipment. We commit funds every year for Kindergarten headphones, Year 6 polo shirts, Year 6 graduation/farewell, Gen Ready and lollies for K-2 the Christmas assembly.

Through Community Building Partnership Grants (CBPG) we have completed the upgrade of the Sensory Garden and in the near future a Yarning Circle is to be established.

The P&C also contribute towards Grandparents morning/afternoon tea, World Teacher's Day, Kindergarten Transition morning tea and Year 6 graduation morning tea.

None of the above can be achieved without volunteers to jump in and help out.

The P&C meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 7.00 pm in the staffroom and everyone is welcome to join the meetings, either in person or on Zoom.
